Mandasue Heller The Driver For Mac
Pan Macmillan has acquired three books by Mandasue Heller, reuniting the author with Wayne Brookes, who published her first three books. The deal means Heller leaves Hodder, where she has published 13 novels, with one more, Afraid, due to be published in January 2015.
Brookes, publishing director of fiction, bought world English rights to the novels from Sheila Crowley at Curtis Brown. He first read Heller’s The Front, published by Hodder, in 2000 while a commissioning editor, and said: “Editors move publishing houses for various reasons, but you hope those authors you leave behind will be looked after and flourish.

Heller said: “I am delighted to be reuniting with my original editor, the fabulous Mr Wayne Brookes, under whose wing my first three books were born.
We had so much fun working together back then, and I am thrilled to be embarking on the next leg of my writing journey with Wayne and his lovely team at Pan Macmillan.” Heller has sold 766,027 books through Nielsen BookScan, for a total value of £3,862,279.
